After an extended hiatus, I've returned to my Art for Haiti relief project. Several months ago, I collected input from everyone about objects--a plant, animal, other object, mythic or historic figure--I should add to the composition of this 12"x18" painting...and I got an amazing number of responses. The earthquake that shook Haiti left much tragedy in its wake, as well as many asking what can they do to help.

After much thought, I began to draw.

People often ask me to describe the process of creating a particular piece of art, as if it were a linear process, or all of it took place on a conscious, well thought-out level and I have words to describe it.
